Private medical centres
The surgeons regularly lecture in English at international medical conferences and the staff speak a variety of European languages, so patients can communicate freely and ask any questions about the treatment process.
Cases such as pancreatic cancer require extensive coordination with different medical specialists, which is especially time-consuming for international patients.  However through our close working relationship we are still able to introduce international patients with brain, eye, spine and lung tumours, cancerous or otherwise, as well as patients requiring neurosurgical interventions such as AVM or trigeminal neuralgia.
ECZM is a modern, purpose built private CyberKnife® facility where treatment is provided on an outpatient basis. The Centre is pleased to arrange suitable hotel accommodation and transfers for international patients.

Most conditions are treated in a single ‘fraction', i.e. a single treatment session of up to 90 minutes duration, though more complex cases are treated over a few consecutive days.
The European CyberKnife Centre (ECZM) opened in 2005 and within a few months was named as the leading CyberKnife centre in the world for brain and spinal tumours at the next annual CyberKnife users conference.
Demand for this prestigeous centre is now very high and it is one of the busiest CyberKnife centres in the world.  This means that although the full range of CyberKnife treatments is offered to local patients they have restricted the types of referrals from outside Germany in order to maintain excellence of service.

Treatment at the European CyberKnife Centre utilises a team approach, where medical experts collaborate with you as their central focus. Team members may include your surgeon, radiation oncologist, medical oncologist, physicist, and other team members within the hospital.
ECZM offers fixed price packages and in most cases treatment can be arranged through our introduction service and examination of scans, without the need to attend in Munich for prior consultation.
We can usually give a very reliable estimate of treatment costs and availability and full medical facilites are available at the adjacent to the University Hospital if required.

The procedure was completely pain free and I was driving back home to Austria directly after treatment.  I am glad I could avoid brain surgery.

I did not experience any kind of adverse effects during the last twelve months after CyberKnife treatment.  There is no need to be afraid of the CyberKnife procedure.
All doctors I visited refused treatment in my case.  I was encouraged by the physicians of the CyberKnife Centre to undergo a radiosurgical treatment.
My symptoms with strong headache, concentration problems and ticks of my legs subsided as soon as three months after treatment.  I am very satisfied with the decision to do CyberKnife treatment.
The suspected chaos in my companies did not occur and I was resilient directly after the radiosurgical treatment.

The national currency of Germany is the Euro.
Germany is part of the European Union and no visa is required for EU citizens.  If you or an accompanying relative require a visa to visit Germany please ensure that you obtain this in good time before treatment.
You have been through a lot of worry and stress, your treatment is over and you probably deserve a relaxing break.  Munich is a fascinating city with many opportunities for trips into the beautiful Bavarian countryside with its decorated houses, lakes and mountains.  It is also justly famous for its beer, brewed to high local purity laws, so relax and enjoy!  There is no operation to recover from and a little holiday could be just the thing to set you on the road to recovery.
